Fridays around here are craft group days, every week four of us meet up at each others houses. We all met up through Brown Owls over a year ago now, there was a call out for people interested in creating an eastern suburbs craft group and we all answered the call (along with one other lovely lady who had to go back to work and could no longer meet up).
We all have kids under three and find it much easier meeting at each others houses than at a cafe or something more fancy. By pure coincidence most of us are knitters or hookers (ie. crochet fans) so it is lovely to be able to compare notes and patterns. I love my Friday craft group. Rain, hail or shine, unless there is something seriously wrong, I’ll be there.
It’s my Friday wind down time, the end of the week relaxing stitch’n'bitch filled with chatting, chocolate and children. Twof the girls have blogs as well if you fancy a stickybeak Jess is over here at Beberouge and anna is at EsmeRudy.
Today I started working on another crochet owl that will be a gift for a friends new baby, I’ve made one of these already but I think I might tweak the pattern a little bit this time because I wasn’t 100% happy with the shape of it.
This week seems to have gone very fast , and time flies when you are hooking away, I only just realized I hadn’t had lunch yet and it’s already past one. Feeling very mother hubbard while I stared into the cupboard, this was all I could come up with …
A bit of a random selection but it was actually quite satisfying and I had to make more after Noah pinched half of it.
Time to go to the shops I think….
