We put my archway up on Sunday morning and I love it already. It instantly gives the garden a real cottage look and it will be even more enhanced once the jasmine climbs up and over it. I have a plant on either side and it is fast growing so hopefully by this time next year it will be mostly covered.
Next on my list of much needed garden improvements is some kind of gravel or pebble pathway because the grass is well and truly dead after being trodden on and ridden over by numerous children and bikes.
The twins were also very excited to help me plant some veges, we planted a tomato plant as well as some chillies into this green tin tub that has been sitting around the house forever.
And then we also planted some strawberries near the front door
And check this out! I planted these seeds just three days ago and look at them go, they are just a mix of “cottage garden” flowers so no idea what I’ll end up with but I’m so excited to see them pop up so quickly.
And in other news, we have decided to take the kids camping over Christmas at lakes entrance (provided we can find somewhere to camp). After my previous post some of you are probably thinking we are nuts LOL, but it should be (mostly) fun and the kids all loved camping last Easter. I can’t wait, Trent and I still need to work out where we are going together without the kids but at least one decision has been made.
