This morning we trekked into the city to visit the zoo, along with 4/3 of Melbourne. God people are annoying. Especially large groups of people. Large groups of people with children who ignore obvious queues, push in line and generally act selfish and stupid.
I got so sick of telling my kids to be patient and wait their turn, only to have other pushy mums cut in shoving their own kids to the front, by the end I just told my two to push in as well because seriously I’d had enough.
Anyway, that’s my little rant for the day, besides people, we had a good day. Most of the animals were pretty lazy today because of the hot weather but we got to see pretty much everything.
The meerkats were my favourite, they had baby’s and I would not have hesitated to slip one into my bag if I could have. Very cute.
The kids school was one of 50 chosen to decorate a Mali elephant, and we found theirs in the display. Charlees class contributed to it so she was happy to see it there.
It was a good day
Now I am ready for a nice cold drink and a lay down…
