We had a lovely time at the beach over the weekend. The weather was cold but clear so we spent a lot of time outside. The kids helped clear out a lot of over frown trees and we had a bit of a bonfire (complete with marshmallow toasting). We ventured down to the beach to play in the sand and also attempted some fishing but didn’t catch anything.
I didn’t finish my cardigan as planned, partly because I forgot to bring down extra wool and I ran out of the blue I’m using. And partly because I didn’t bring down the right needles. After reading the somewhat dismal instructions on how to join the arms and continue knitting in the round, I decided it would be easier to use flat needles rather than the circular needles I was using to finish the arms and shoulders, then I’ll sew it all together. Well I didn’t bring my flat needles so there was not much I could do.
