I painted a new oil painting this afternoon while Noah was having a rare nap. I love Hydrangeas and I’ve been wanting to put some in my garden but i can’t seem to find any at any of my local nurseries. If anyone in my area happens to know of where i can get some please let me know. This was painted from a picture in a magazine (quite a small picture actually which made it a challenge lol). It is 10×12″ on canvas board, and up for sale on ETSY.

I can’t believe how wintery it is today. I ventured outside for half an hour this afternoon to do a bit of gardening (pulling up pesky weeds and planting a few more seedlings) and i froze. The wind was absolutely icy. And just because everyone else is talking about it i may as well too…we had an earthquake in Melbourne last night! It was so strange, we don’t get them very often down here and it was the biggest one i had ever felt. I had just gotten into the shower ( it was about 9pm) when i heard this really loud rumbling sound. I could hear it clearly over the water, it sounded like a big truck was pulling into the driveway, which i thought was quite odd at that time of night. And then the shower screen started rattling. It went on for about 30 seconds, when it stopped Trent came into the bathroom and i said “what the hell was that?” to which he answered …”um..i think it was a earthquake”. The kids both felt it as well which freaked them out a little but not too much. Apparently it was 5.5 on the Richter scale which is the biggest one we have had in ages.

Exciting times down here in the south lol
