Well summer is well and truly starting to heat up around here, we haven’t really had many mega hot days so far this year, but the last three have been well over the 35 degree mark. Yesterday i had to meet up with a client in St Kilda in the morning, i had to drag all three kids along with me, so i decided to bribe them with a trip to the beach. After a quick stop off at St Kilda we then headed 10 min down the road to Brighton Beach for a few hours. It was stinking hot and rather crowded so we didn’t stay as long as i had originally planned. I had visions of me wading in the cool water while the children splashed about happily but Noah was well overdue for his nap and wasn’t really in a beach kind of mood. He did perk up a bit for a while but then he cracked it again big time because i kept putting his hat back on after he’d take it off…yeah, he didn’t like that. Anyway, we all piled back into the nice air conditioned car after a while and drove back home again, he was asleep before we had even left the shoreline. It is such a lovely beach for kids to play at though, nice shallow water, rock pools and plenty of pretty shells to collect.I have photographed an endless number of clients at this beach because of the gorgeous little beach boxes along the shore line, but it had been a while since I’d taken my kids and just had time to relax and take it all in.
