The one where i ignore that it’s my birthday and talk about something else…

oh look. I made some new overalls for Noah last night. All the fabrics are from my stash of op shop fabric finds. And the pattern is from Ottobre Magazine. I had all the parts cut out already and then i headed over to Dannii’s last night to catch up and do some sewing. Noah kicked up a bit of a fuss and wasn’t happy sleeping in the porta cot so it was an early night in comparison to most craft nights. But i still managed to get these done.

They are fully lined in a soft warm jersey fabric for extra insulation and the outer fabric is a nice thick linen with a contrasting cotton part. The fit perfectly, but i think i made the straps just a little too long, i will fix that eventually. I plan on making another pair of these as i adore toddlers in overalls…and i now officially own a toddler. He has started taking a lot more steps all on his own now and he is getting more confident with it every day. I should probably go and buy him some decent shoes…
